| Summer of 2008 Carlos Silva & Nelson Freitas teamed up along with Q-Plus to provide club aficionados with one of that year’s most interesting Latin House releases, "Cré Sabe 2008". After big success in the Dutch Club scene and club charts now the record is picked up in countries like Germany, Norway, Poland, Russia, Bulgaria, Mexico, South Africa and most of all in Portugal where it is doing huge in clubs, radio and charts. "Cré Sabe 2008" is a very strong release with summer written all over it. Smooth vocals, a strong production, excellent remixes and strong worldwide support make this into a release to be reckoned with. "Cré Sabe 2008" was remixed by Knee Deep who are one of House Music’s most respected remix teams, and Hardwell, one of Holland’s most interesting producers/remixers. Other remixes come from Dutch talents Raul Moros (aka Soul Conspiracy), Afrojack & Veron. "Cré Sabe 2008" received massive international support from people like Roger Sanchez, Roog (Hardsoul), Brian Tappert, Eddie Thoneick, DJ Disciple, Balearic Soul, Jeroenski and Ricky Rivaro. Carlos flew to the Miami Winter Music Conference in March of 2008 and presented the track to Roger Sanchez, who immediately made the track into "Hot Download" on his Radio Show, followed by the inclusion of "Cré Sabe 2008" on Roger’s recent "Release Yourself 7" mix album. "Cré Sabe 2008" is also included on other important compilations and mix albums like Hed Kandi’s "Beach House 2008" and Dutch 1 selling House compilation "Bloomingdale 08". "Cré Sabe 2008" was first released digitally at No. 1 House download portal Traxsource.com and was in the top 10 chart for over two weeks with top position being 4. Other chart positions nominate worthy are: 3 Dutch Dance Chart, 2 Slam FM Dance Chart, 1 Cidade FM (PT), Best Dance Track of 2008 on Radio Comercial (PT) and most recently 3 in the Portuguese Charts. Carlos Silva is a relatively new face on the production scene although he has been a DJ and producer for more than 10 years. At the age of twenty he already signed his first record to Grant Nelson’s acclaimed UK based label Swing City. Over the last couple of years, he has made remixes and productions ranging from Garage to Soulful House and Latin House, of which his production of "Cré Sabe 2008" is a good example. Energetic and uplifting House with Funk, Soul, Latin and Disco influences: that’s the most matching description of Carlos Silva’s DJ sets. Nelson Freitas has been a very successful vocalist for many years. His main claim to fame is his former position as the lead singer for the band Quatro Plus, which is considered to be one of the worlds most popular Zouk bands. With Quatro Plus he toured the world, in particular Europe and Africa. He recorded three albums with Quatro Plus and one solo album, called "Magic". His Cape Verdean roots, are mixed in his vocals with strong R&B influences, an explosive mixture, especially in combination with Carlos Silva’s excellent production of "Cré Sabe 2008". |
