Edward Maya

Edward Maya is a whole musical package (producer, performer, composer & musician) from Romania. He graduated from “George Enescu” music High School in Bucharest and is currently a final year student at the National University of Music in Bucharest (Bucharest Conservatory).

At only 19 years of age he composed a song of European magnitude with E.Carcota for the well-known Eurovision contest, which went straight to the 4th place in the competition (Michael Treistariu - Tornero). This breakthrough was followed by a busy period for the artist, who worked on different contracts with Romanian artists abroad (Akcent, Costi Ionita, Vika Jigulina, Cassa Loco, Studio One, DjRynno, Dj Sava, Marius Nedelcu, BlaxyGirls, Imba).

In 2008 he produced the album that helped relaunch the band Akcent, appearing on the international music market with hits like Stay with me, That's my name and Lover's cry, all under the Edward Maya brand / signature

. The year 2009 brought a surprise on the Romanian musical market, the first song “Stereo Love” signed by Edward Maya as a producer and artist quickly becoming a real hit in clubbing places all over the world. The incredible success of ”Stereo love” was followed by concerts worldwide, the song reaching the pop charts in Greece, Albania ,Lebanon ,Armenia,Portugal,Russia, Poland, The Netherlands, Egypt, Spain, Italy, Turkey etc.

Currently Edward Maya is back in the studio working on new projects, as a producer and artist.
